According to MNPD, Zachary Carach used a crosswalk when he was hit by a silver Mitsubishi Mirage. The vehicle did not stop after the collision.

“He went in the air, fell to the ground and the car continued. It never stopped,” said Zach's mother Sheena.

The Dashcam video shows Carach in both directions before entering the zebra crossing. Mits later the Mitsubishi hits him and sends it through the air.

Carach suffered serious but not life -threatening injuries and was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His mother says he will have to use a wheelchair in the coming weeks, but will probably make a complete recovery.

“Healing bruises, healing broken bones. He lives. He will run again. He is not paralyzed and I am only grateful for it,” said Sheena.

Sheena is now asking the community to identify the driver.

“Please help me to bring justice for my son because he is important,” she said. “I know that they gather around me and help me find this person.”
