Wake -up services for a trainer who died during the crash on the Taconic State Parkway, Robert Violante,

Family and friends of the football coach, who died last week when falling on the Taconic State Parkway, are reminded of him. The line for the afternoon was around the door all afternoon when people remember Robert Violante. Family, friends and even students and football players he trained were there all afternoon on Tuesday. The football players even wore their uniforms.

According to the state police, Violante's car was driven by a van in the opposite direction that bent the other side of the parkway.

Officials say he was home to the Nord -Westchester when the crash happened. Violant was a high school football and track trainer in the Bergenfield School District, known as “coach V”. People who knew him say he will really be missing and had a big influence on everyone he met. “We try to show the family, the high school employees and the students who were very affected by the family,” says Irene Ramos, a parent whose son plays football in Bergenfield.

“Our players, they will miss him so much and he put so much time and energy into these students. He put all, he felt something special,” says Christopher Tully, superintendent of the Bergenfield public school.
