Abba mourns the death of the sound engineer Michael B Tretow

Abba mourn the loss of her former sound engineer Michael B Tretow.
The death of the music industry was announced on Tuesday (20.05.25), and now Abba's stars have published all the statements that pay their buddy Tribute Tribute, who worked with them in the 1970s before becoming a producer.
Benny said in an explanation: “You meant four in ABBA more than any other. I hope and believe that you have felt it over the years who have worked in the studio since our work (and laughed continuously).
“Our music lives on and they are the one who did it timeless. They were a fantastic inspirator and Joy maker. And the best sound engineer that the world has ever seen. I miss you. And I saved all of your coconut!”
Bjorn Ulvaeus added: “Its meaning for ABBA cannot be overestimated. He was a warm, generous person and a good friend. Thank you, Micke, for all this laugh!”
Anni-Frid Ly's Direct State added her own message in an explanation to Aftonbladet and said: “You were the security in our little studio bubble with your never-ending creativity, warmth and joy, and nobody suited you like you!
“For us, they are part of the ABBA sound forever and they will never forget!”
Agnetha Faltskog also divided an explanation and revealed that she could spend time with Michael in the weeks before his death. She said, “I am so glad that I had to spend some time with you a few weeks ago … you were so sick, but your laughter and humor were still there …
“So many memories are preserved, their encouraging words during the records mean so much. We are now sad, a talented and unique person left us. Sleep Well Mice, they are in our hearts forever.”
Michael began his career in metronome studios in Stockholm in 1967 before working with ABBA in the 1970s and joining her Polar Studios.
He became a studio manager and worked with the band on albums such as 'Waterloo' and 'Super Trouper' and resigned for Anni-Frid and Agnetha over their solo material.
