TIP reports report the recording high for GTR Crime Stopper

Lowndes County, Miss. (WCBI) – Anonymous tips hits a record high for Golden Triangle Crime Stopper.

The deputy director Chad Bell told WCBI that May was a record month for tips.

The number of tips on potential crimes and suspicious activities has almost doubled from the usual figures.

Bell says you receive many reports on the P3Tips app.

Just last week, the office of the Lowndes County's sheriff took an arrest in front of a suspect that was assumed that it was involved in two separate armed robbery because a tip that was reported.

The counties Clay, Lowndes, Monroe, Noxubeee, Oktibbea and Winston fall under the program.

Tips that lead to an arrest receive a paid reward.
