The 50-year-old accepted his Instagram story to announce that he was operated on on Monday and confirmed the severity of the injury. He also revealed that he was in the renowned sports medicine surgeon Dr. James Andrews' facility was.

“I am guided by my operation here in Birmingham, Ala. In the Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Center. I opened my kidnapper to the smackdown before Wrestlemania. I am planned for an operation today, so I will keep you up to date,” says Mysterio in Instagram history.

Mysterio would thank the fans for their support. From now on there is no schedule for its potential return, but a typical kidnapper tear is delivered for normal activities with a 12- to 16-week recovery time.
