Treis: Mack Brown says that UNC has reduced the academic standards for Belichick

Former head coach in North Carolina Mack Brown Had a lot to say Bill Belichick And his upcoming first season for Tar Heels during an interview about College sports on Siriusxm. The most interesting was the comments that he made about the school that lowered her academic standards to win Belichick.

Brown had a very successful coaching career before North Carolina was pushed out at the end of the 2024 season. Overall, he went 282-150-1 in his 35 years and in his 16 years and two terms with North Carolina 113-79-1.

However, his exit did not go very smoothly, which could explain his willingness to discuss coach Belichick and the changes that have taken place since his departure.

“In our last few years we had to get parents with money, we tried to bring children over a 3.0 because we could get it,” said Brown. “You have committed money to help him (Belichick) with academics, you have reduced these standards, so there is absolutely no reason why you shouldn't be successful.”

Brown also made an interesting comment on the fact that stars ran back Omarion Hamptonwho dealt with many zero problems that no longer seem to exist in Chapel Hill. The problems were so bad that he said: “I told him he should go.”

It is not as if North Carolina or coach Belichick needed more advertising, but this interview will certainly make many people talk about what is in the case in Chapel Hill.
