Son remembers mother who was killed by Tornado

London, Ky. (Wymt) – With many families in southern Kentucky who tidy up the rubble from the weekend tornado, others mourn the life that is lost in the tragic twist.

Darlene Miller lived alone in the municipality of Sunshine Hills in London. Her son Rodney Miller lives in Ohio. After the storm, he learned that his mother was one of the almost 20 victims of the disaster.

Darlene lived on the Boone Trail, but the place where her home was planted was only reduced to the foundation.

Rodney said when he found out about the threat from a tornado, he tried to get his mother to come to Cincinnati to stay with him, but he wanted to stay at home.

He said his mother was an incredibly used person and devoted himself to helping him take care of his children.

“The children are outside of school. They are about the only person I have to help with my children,” said Rodney. “Because I am basically a single father. My wife and I are not together and I take care of my three children. She is my line -up because my father died with cancer seven years ago.”

Now he says he just feels lost and he doesn't know where to go from here.
