On Wednesday afternoon, Tennessee went into the 2026 class for a sensation in the recruitment world with the four-star rand-rander Zach Groves.

The state -related native opted for Josh Heupel's program about Clemson, Georgia, Ole Miss and Southern Cal.

According to 247 Sports Composite Ranglists, Groves ends up number 260, No. 25 Edge Rusher in class and No. 7 players from the state of Tennessee. Groves is now Tennessees with the best rated defensive committee and the third highest commit of the Vols and overall behind the five-star quarters back Faizon Brandon and the five-star-offensive tackle Gabriel Osenda.

A future product of the East Robertson High School in Cross Plains, TN, Grove is 6-foot-4, 252 pounds. Tennessee had a great track record at the edge position under Rodney Garner, and Grove wants to be the next in this line.
