Which players made progress in late 2024?

When trying to project how players can appear for Green Bay Packers in 2025, it could be helpful to look back on 2024 and see which players were in the right direction to end the season.

Based on their PFF classes of game-to-play, 13 players who have improved to the 2024 campaign to remarkable extent are improved in the order of most to the least:

De Lukas van Ness

It is fair to say that Van Ness does not have the desired influence of a choice in the first round in his first two seasons, but there were positive signs for the end of his second season, and he was the most improved packer on the track.

Its average PFF grade improved by more than 25% to the last eight between the first ten games, and his 64.4 class during this run was also better than its average quality of the game in the entire 2023 season, which was 61.5.

Van Ness had 13 of his 20 pressure in the last eight games and three of his four sacks. During this time, his number of Snap actually went back slightly, which makes its increased pass-rush production impressive, but has his main focus on 2025: climbing the field on the field and becoming a true three-down player.

DL Kenny Clark

After Clark received an extension of the contract last summer, he did not have the kind of season for which the Packers had hoped for one of their highly paid veterans, but he took his move later in the year.

Like van Ness, his average PFF grade in the last eight games increased by over 25%compared to the first ten, and his 67.3 grade during this time was also better than his average of 64.7 in 2023.

Clark was dependent on playing every game a huge number of snapshots, which is not conducive to keep him fresh and play his best football, but in the second half of 2024, when his game improved, his average snap image dropped from 44 to 35.

It would have been more regular or simply adapt to Jeff Hafley's new defensive system, but Green Bay needs Clark to maintain it in 2025.

After TJ Slaton has gone away and the only additions outside the season in the defense area are a choice in the sixth round in Warren Brinson and a non -dracking Free Agent in Nazir Stackhouse, Clark should not wait to take regular breaks this season.

DL Devonte Wyatt

Wyatt's average PFF degree of 70.2 in the last seven games he played was an improvement of almost 23% compared to his average grade of 57.2 compared to the first eight, and this was much better than his average grade of 61.3.

Part of this strong run was a time with four games when Wyatt achieved a 78.9 note on average.

He had his option in the fifth year in this low season and it was an easy decision for the Packers. While Wyatt has often not started because he is not the best running defender, he has 80 prints and 12 sacks in the past two years, which as a Pass -rusher represents serious disorders.

LB Quay Walker

The signs were not good in the NFL in Walker's first two and a half years, but the earlier choice in the first round seemed to really bend a corner in the second half of the 2024 season.

His average PFF class rose between the first eight games he played and the last six, from 54.7 to 64.5 by 18%. Unfortunately, injuries interrupted his increase and made it difficult to know whether it was really a sign of the upcoming things.

Green Bay rejected Walker option in the fifth year, but it seems that the team wants to maintain it during an extension of the contract. The time will show whether he can continue from a more positive 2024 and earn it.

Te Tucker strength

The offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich told the Green Bay Media that the team formulated ideas in order to do more and more and for good reason this year. Since entering the league, he has consistently improved and has established himself as a high -quality tight end in 2024.

The average PFF class of Kraft improved from 58 in the first seven games to 68.4 in the last eleven; An impressive longer period of strong performance.

LB Edgerrin Cooper

Coopers explosive rookie season was particularly impressive in view of an injury that cost him part of the training camp and missed him over time at the beginning of the season.

He increased his average PFF grade in the first seven games in the last eight from 64.3 to 75.3, an improvement of 17%, and ended the year as the highest defender of Green Bay.

The number of snacks of the line backer improved steadily in the course of the year when he received the trust of the coaching staff, and in the first seven games doubled more than 23.7 snapshots per game to 47.9 in the last eight.

Progress is not always linear, but the arrow seems to show a lot for Cooper when it enters his second season. In his last five games of the year, his average PFF class was extremely impressive 81.9, his best game route throughout the season.

CB Carrington Valentine

The picture that Valentine's Day was played around in the Playoff loss of the Eagles when he tried to do a duel will leave an acid taste in the mouth of Packers fans, but that should not impair the fact that he came along well during his second campaign.

After Valentine had released an average PFF class of 57.7 in the first eight games in the first eight games, he improved in the last six to 67.2, including one route of four games to end the regular season in which he had a 76.2-class on average.

Its average snap number rose from 32.2 to 58 in the last six games, and Valentine has every chance to be a starting sheath outside the corner in 2025.

WR Dontayvion wick

Wicks had a terrible time with drops last season, but at the end of the year he brought something into shape and increased his average PFF grade in the first ten games in the last eight out of 58.3 to 67.6.

In these eight games he only had three drops compared to six in the first ten, and his drop percentage had dropped to 10.7% during this run, which is still too high, but better than where it was. In the last seven games, twenty -four of his 41 receptions came.

Despite the improvement at the end of the year, Wicks did not completely return to his rookie form when he had a 70.2 -PFF grade per game on average, but he seemed to have rebuilt his self -confidence, which is a good sign for 2025 for 2025.

Ol Elgton Jenkins

Jenkins improved his average PFF grade from 58.8 in the first ten games to 66.1 in the last eight, an increase of more than 12%and better than its average grade of 2023 of 62.3

However, it will move to the center in 2025, so it is not so easy to project his strong second half of 2024 this season.

CB Keisean Nixon

Nixon probably doesn't get enough recognition for the cornerback that he has become after playing the position in the NFL full -time until 2023, which was a special team player before.

He started the last season primarily as a slot corner, but later moved outside in the year, and the improvement he showed deserves recognition.

With regard to the average PFF grade in general, Nixon improved in the first ten games from 58.7 to 65.1 in the last eight.

He played better outside than in the slot after being thrown into the fire, and scored a 58 grade in the games in which he played most of his snapshots inside, and 63.8 when he mainly played.

Nixon also improved as an outer corner during the season. His average PFF grade in his external corner games rose in the first six to 67.6 in the last six out of 59.2.

He has taken every opportunity to improve his game and become a more important player since his arrival in Green Bay, and could continue his upward way with more repetitions than perimeter corner.

Lt Rashed Walker

Jordan Morgan wants to go into his natural position of the left duel and compete with walker for the starting job, but it may be difficult for him to win him.

Walker has been very solid since taking over the position and was further improved in 2024. He increased his average PFF grade in the first eight games to 67.3 in the last ten, which was better than his average grade in the 2023 campaign at 63.5.

RB Josh Jacobs

Jacobs had a great first season in Green Bay and was very hot when the weather got colder. Its average PFF class rose from 71 in the first ten weeks to 79 in the last eight and has achieved a grade of 82.5 in the last four games, including the playoffs.

The response had 12 of his 16 rushing touchdowns in the last eight games and found the end zone in the past nine weeks.

De Rashan Gary

While Gary did not appear on the standard that he previously set in 2024, he showed some signs of a back bouncer at the end of the year and improved his average PFF grade from 63.8 in the first nine weeks to 68.5 in the last nine.

He had 29 pressure in the second half of the year compared to 20 in the first half and six sacks compared to three.
