In the event of an accident on Tuesday, no injuries were reported on the Interstate 70 in the west of Wolcott, but the incident caused the road to be closed for almost three hours, which led to a stop on the Highway 6.

The time of the crash was not ideal because the road was closed during the main hourly period when the locals use the Interstate to return from the locations of Avon and Vail to the western end of Eagle County.

Trooper Gabriel Moltrer from Colorado State Patate said that the call was received at 2:46 p.m. and the Interstate was closed shortly afterwards towards the west. The accident included a vehicle with a trailer that was rolled over at Mile Marker 155 and temporarily blocked the road.

Colorado State's security protocols ask the reaction teams to take a trace of a 12-foot buffer when cleaning an accident that requires the full closure of the interstate.

The Interstate was closed at Milkarker 157, so that traffic could be moved to Highway 6, said Moltrer.
