4 local golfers on the observation list for 2025 Minnesota Mr. and Miss Golf Awards – Post Bulletin

Edina, Minn. – Olivia Cordes has qualified for two meetings of class 2a in class 2a.

It is in 38th place in the state – regardless of the class – in the latest ranking lists Golf Golf of the High School of the Minnesota Golf Association, which was released on Monday.

And she shot an impressive round of 81 on Tuesday on the Lake City Golf Course to win the medal gain at a meeting of the Hiawatha Valley League.

If this is not good enough so far, Cordes is one of 15 high -ranking girls gumps in the state that are called Minnesota Miss Golf Watch List 2025. The list of 15 girls and 15 boys was published on Tuesday by Mr. and Miss Minnesota Golf Committee.

Cordes is accompanied on the Girl's observation list on the Lake City Senior Mattie Mears.

Two local golfers were recorded in the Mr. Golf Watch List-outstanding Colton Rich and La Crescent-Hokah Senior Ryan Nutter.

For a long time, Cordes was one of the top golfers in the area. She took fourth place in Section 1-2a a year ago, then took 27th place at the Class 2a State Meeting to 84-43-127 (including a rained changed final) at the Graten in Sand Creek in Jordan. As a second year in 2023, Cordes took seventh place in the section and the 37th place at the state meeting. Last spring she had an average of 85.29 seasons, the seventh golfers in southeast Minnesota.

Lake City's Mears are 62 among all girls gumps. She helped the Tigers to win her fifth Section 1, class 2a team championship last spring and her second second place in a row at State Meeting. Mears had an average of 87.1 as a junior. Last year she took the ninth year in the Meet section, then 34th in the state and shot 86-44-1330 (including a second round, which was halved in half due to bad weather).

Mears has helped the Tigers to win three consecutive invitations in the past nine days. On April 22nd, she awarded a medal rifle at Austin Country Club at Austin Invitational and shot 79.

Loudes' Colton Rich will meet the second green on Thursday, May 23, 2024, on the Willow Creek Golf Course in Rochester. This week Rich was appointed one of 15 older golfers in Minnesota to create the list of observation for the Golf Award 2025 Minnesota.

Rich, nutter called the observation list

Rochester Lourdes Senior Colton Rich and La Crescent-Hokah Senior Ryan Nutter were included in the observation list for the Minnesota Mr. Golf Award 2025 for the Minnesota Mr. Golf Award.

Rich, an outstanding multisport athlete who helped the Eagles to reach the hockey championship game in class 1a in class 1a this winter, has a strong start to his senior golf season. Henderson State University (Arkadelphia, Ark.) Commit is currently in 17th place in the state, regardless of class, and on Monday, when he scored a third place in the Byron Invitational at Somerby, has achieved third place.

Rich is the reigning post-bulletin golfer of the year, after achieving an average of 74.39 on average in the southeast of Minnesota last year. He was fourth in Section 1, Class 2a last spring, and then took seventh place at State Meet in Class 2a. He played 15 laps for the Eagles last season and scored in 14 of these rounds in the 1970s, including one season best 70 in the opening round of the state meeting, at the Graten in Sand Creek in Jordan.

Nutter had the honor in the area in Richs heels for the player of the year last season when he had an average of 74.7. Nutter is the two -time defender of Three Rivers Conference medalist. Last year he took 16th place in section 1-2a after taking second place in 2023 as a second year. In 2023 he was also among the top 5 and shot in 2023 and shot 75-73-148 on the combs to reach fifth place.

In the coming weeks, eight finalists will be selected for both the Miss Golf and Mr. Golf Awards.

The awards will be made on Sunday, June 8th, at 6 p.m. in the Windsong Farm Golf Club in Independence, Minn. All finalists and their families are invited to take part in the celebration.
