If the case of sexual crimes has dropped, ex-broward school security monitor wants to delete the name, return to the job

Miami-Dade County, Fla. – A former school security monitor on the West Broward High School says that his name is now free because he is out of prison and a serious sexual battery has been dropped against him.

Justice Joseph, 27, originally identified by Pembroke Pines Police as “Joseph Justice Livan” after his arrest in March, had accused of forced a 17-year-old boy to perform a sex act on another man in an apartment in Miami and threaten him.

“I thought it was a prank,” he said about the arrest and called the allegations “everything a lie”.

Records show that the public prosecutors from Miami-Dade have decided not to file an indictment.

“It was already too late because I was on social media,” he said.

Joseph admits that the three were together, but to work on a project for his other job as the owner of a funeral company.

“The other two boys are lovers,” said Joseph. “I didn't even know that he was 17 years old. He didn't tell us that he was 17 years old.”

Janine Stanwood, reporter of the local 10 messages, asked: “There was no inadequate sexual contact in this apartment?”

“No. None at all,” he replied.

He claims that the teenager switched him on when he later fired the man who was employed.

In March, four officers appeared at school to arrest Joseph.

“When I came in, they said, 'lie behind your back, you are arrested,” said Joseph. “And I am how 'what do you mean by that, I am arrested?'”

Joseph said he had spent two months in prison and is now trying to get back on his feet with his funeral home.

He said he wanted to go back to Broward County Public Schools.

“I love what I do and I love to work with the children and brighten their day,” said Joseph. “Only that that happens to me really got me messed up.”

Local 10 messages contacted BCPS to look for a comment on Joseph's employment status.
