Gilbert Arenas says that the injured son Alijah Arenas is due to Tesla Cybertruck malfunction

Los Angeles (KABC) – Former NBA player Gilbert Arenas said that the crash that injured his 18-year-old son had happened because the Tesla Cybertruck, the teenager, drove malfunction.

The arenas shared details of the April fall during an interview with the former Los Angeles Laker Matt Barnes in the “All The Smoke” podcast.

He said that the steering wheel had stopped reacting before the crash, and unlike some reports, his son Alijah never fell asleep. According to the arenas, Alijah tried to break the trucks' windows than the vehicle filled with smoke.

The teenager stuck inside until three men who saw the crash saved him from the fiery rubble.

Alijah, a basketball recruit for USC, was released from the hospital last month.

He drove back from the gym when he fired in a tree and/or a hydrant in Reseda, the authorities said.

Alijah was taken to a hospital and brought to an induced coma due to smoke inhalation, but did not suffer “serious injuries” due to the crash, as can be seen from a statement by Gilbert Arenas's podcast last month.

An official matter for the crash was not published.

Alijah is the recruit with No. 13 in the 2025 class, after re -classification in December and hired the Trojans in January.

The five-star prospect visits the chatworth high school in Los Angeles and helped the team this year for the final of Division II State Championships. With this game, the arenas was the first basketball player of the High School Boys in the La region, which reached 3,000 career points.
