The METS comeback bid is too scarce for diamondbacks (highlights).

The New York Mets (21-10) recorded their winning streak on Wednesday evening with eight games and fell on the Arizona Diamondbacks (16-14) 4-3 in the Citi Field.

New York opened with a Bullpen game, and Huascar Brazobán was impressive as an opener and threw two goalless innings with three strikeouts and a walk. Despite a strong start, the METs could not use early possibilities. In the first inning, a base jam built by Francisco Lindor's double and two walks were nothing when Corbin Burnes escaped the threat.

Mark Vientos broke the Deadlock with a solo Homerun in the third, but the Mets couldn't do much more dent on the excursion of Burnes. Although Burnes went five batteries, it managed to limit the damage only VISTOS 'explosion via six innings. The meters had runners on the basis, but had seven stranded and did not use it.

Brandon Waddell, remembered from Triple-A, delivered outstanding 4.1-shutout inside for relief, but the trouble met in seventh place when Ryan Stanek allowed two runs from a two-out rally from Arizona's lower three goals from Arizona.

In the ninth 4: 1, the Mets fought their way back with a solo shot from Tyrone Taylor and a threat loaded by bases, but was too short when Francisco Alvarez was grounded with the ties and go-a-a-a–axis runs on the basis.

The Mets left 13 runners on the basis and went 0: 10 with runners in the score.
