Mann shot, killed by officers in North Philly for dispute – NBC10 Philadelphia

An investigation is underway after the police authority officers in Philadelphia shot and killed a man who they tried on Wednesday, according to civil servants.

All of this unfolded shortly after 6:30 p.m. when the officials tried to stop the man near the streets of the streets on the mother and Somerset in the Fairhill Section of North Philadelphia on May 21, said deputy commissioner John Stanford.

When they approached the man, a dispute broke out between the officers and the man, said Stanford. During the uprising, the man pulled a pistol out of a pocket that went out.

Two of the officers fired their weapons and the man was shot in the upper body, said Stanford. The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead around 6.45 p.m.
