Kia Most Valuable Player Award: All times winner

There was Bill Russell. There was Larry Bird. And now there is the Nuggets Star Nikola Jokić.

By only behind the second place in this year's Kia NBA MVP voting tax Shai Gilgeous-Alexander from Oklahoma City, Jokić was only the third player in NBA history with a top two end in five or more consecutive seasons.

He won the award in 2021, 2023 and 2024 and was second again this year.

Russell and Bird, a few Boston Celtics sizes, were the first or second in the voting in six consecutive seasons.

Russell won in 1958, 1961, 1962 and 1963, when he took second place in 1959 and 1960. Bird was won in 1981, 1982 and 1983 before he won in 1984, 1985 and 1986.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (1971-74) and Tim Duncan (2001-04) are the other players with four direct top two surfaces. Michael Jordan and LeBron James had never passed two different strips of three consecutive top two ends in the voting.

Jokić had the sixth instance of a player who ended a season who provided a triple double with 29.6 points, 12.7 rebounds and 10.2 assists per game. Only one of these seasons led to an MVP victory.

Oscar Robertson achieved an average of a triple double in 1961-62; He did not win MVP this year. Russell Westbrook did it four times and only won the MVP price once in this period.

And now Jokic became statistically like nobody after a season.
