Dui -suspect in the Fresno crash, in which 2 teenagers were killed

Fresno, California (KFSN) – Two families of the Central Valley mourn and work to find strength because they hope for justice after a fatal crash in early May.

It demanded the life of two teenagers from a man who shouldn't be behind the steering wheel.

“We just tried to tackle things from day by day,” said Kelli Greene, Maddux 'mother.

On May 2, the life of two families was turned upside down.

Friends, 19-year-old Jordan Galvez and 18-year-old Maddux Greene, were killed in a car accident on Clovis Avenue in Shields in the East Central Fresno.

On Wednesday morning, the man, who was accused of the alleged Dui crash Jagat Singh, was suspended, and was not guilty of murder.

“Nothing is surprised, it's just another chapter in a long book,” said Rob Greene, father of Maddux.

The parents of Maddux were not shocked by Singh's plea, but found it interesting to find out that he had a new lawyer and allowed the case to come forward.

In the meantime, the message of hurtful families is loud and clear for all drivers.

“It has to stop; we have to stop. Life does not have to be taken and I hope we are making an example for this person,” said Louie Galvez, Jordan's father.

Singh was already on probation for a conviction of 2023 DUI and the police said in the night of the crash, he drove a stolen car.

Galvez thanks the community that they are at their side.

“Our faith and the help of the community really helped us to get through it,” said Louie.

The families of the teenagers have come closer and plan to take part in every hearing and to keep their sons's memories alive.

“Maddux and Jordan were both great children … and I will never forget him. He was a positive imprint in this world and a bright light and lost much too early,” said Kelli.

“We know that justice will prevail, and we want to see that for Jordan and Madux,” said Louie.

A preliminary hearing is planned for July 15 at 8:30 a.m. Singh faces nine crimes, including two for murder.

Jordan's funeral is planned on May 28th for 10 a.m. on People's Church and Maddux 'funeral will take place on June 20 at 11 a.m. in the New Hope Community Church.

Both families welcome the community to join them.
