A man was shot by the Philadelphia police in North Philly on Wednesday evening after a dispute with officials, the police said.

The first deputy commissioner of Philadelphia Police Department, John Stanford, said the shootout occurred shortly after 6:30 p.m. in the mother and West Somerset Street.

Stanford said the police are concerned with a man to carry out an examination, but then there was an argument.

During the upper, Stanford said that the man took a pistol out of his pocket and released the gun. He said that two officers brought the fire back to the man and hit him in the upper body. Stanford said it was unclear whether the man fired his gun or the gun was accidentally released in the middle of the dispute.

Stanford refused to say how many shots were fired by officials during the shootout, but said that this would be part of their investigations.

According to Stanford, the man was taken to the University of Hospital and declared dead.

It is unclear why the man who was involved in the dispute was addressed by officers, said Stanford.

Both officers who fired their weapons wore body cameras, said Stanford. According to the shootout, the administrative obligation in accordance with the police authority's guidelines are transferred to the shootout.

According to Stanford, the officers were not injured during the incident.
