Route 82 Septa bus drivers seen

Philadelphia (WPVI) – The Septa bus driver caught a video that pushed a car into a Philadelphia Street at the beginning of this month.

(The video in the player above comes from the previous reporting.)

The incident occurred on April 4 near Roosevelt Boulevard and the Sanger Street, in which a bus of Route 82 was involved.

The video of the incident quickly became viral. Route 82's bus driver supposedly said that the accelerator pedal was accidentally pressed.

On Wednesday, a spokesman confirmed that the bus operator retired shortly after the incident.

After a complete inspection of the vehicle, all mechanical and other systems on the bus worked as properly.

“The bus operator stated that they incorrectly pressed the gas instead of the brake. The examination found nothing the opposite,” added the speaker.

Five passengers on the bus and two passengers in the vehicle did not suffer life -threatening injuries, officials said.
