Woman who was killed with two vehicles in collision

Concord-a woman died in a collision with two vehicles, which, according to a social media post from the California Highway Patrol, also injured two more.

The collision occurred at the northernmost intersection of the Kirker Pass Road and the Hess Road, the authorities said.

Shortly before 5:30 p.m., officials from the CHP Contra Costa Area Office reacted to the crash. A Ford Fusion had tried to turn a left turn from the Hess Road to the Kirker Pass Road to the south, but pulled the police in front of a Toyota sienna that drove north. The Toyota fell against the Ford's driver's driver.

The Ford driver, an adult woman, died at the crime scene due to fatal injuries, the authorities said. The Ford's passenger, a 14-year-old boy, was flown to a hospital with suspected serious injuries.
