Deputy The service dies after frontal South Carolina Crash

Effingham, SC (WBTV) – A MP in South Carolina died after a frontal accident this week when he was on duty.

Sister station MBF reported that the deputy Florence County Nate Ansay drove north Olanta Highway Near the Blackwells Farm Road on Tuesday afternoon when he collided with a GMC SUV from the opposite direction.

Both Ansay and the driver of the GMC were taken to the hospital. Ansay died there later.

The Sheriff office of Florence County Said Ansay was only 24 years old and has been deputy since October 2023. The agency confirmed that it was on duty when crashing.

“Nate never met a stranger and always had a big smile on his face,” said the sheriff Tj Joye, Sheriff of Florence County. “He often told me how much he loved being a representative. He will be missing very much.”

One of Ansay's friends told WMBF The “he couldn't have selected a better job” and he “absolutely loved and everything he could, pouring in”. The same friend added that Ansay was “really never in a bad mood”.

In the hours after the crash, the flowers were triggered near the crash location in honor of the deceased deputy.

From Thursday morning it did not seem to have been published.
