WASHINGTON – – Two employees of the Israeli embassy in Washington, DC, who were fatally shot on Wednesday evening after leaving an event in a Jewish museum.

What we know:

The Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar identified the victims as 30-year-old Yaron Lischinsky and 26-year-old Sarah Milgrim. Lischinsky served as a research assistant, while Milgrim coordinated visits and missions to Israel.

The victims left an event in the Capital Jewish Museum when the suspect identified by the authorities as Elias Rodriguez (30) from Chicago approached their group and opened the fire, Pamela Smela Pamela Smith said on Wednesday at a press conference.

Suspicious after shooting imprisoned

Rodriguez allegedly went up and down in front of the museum in front of the museum and then entered the building in which the event security held it, said Smith.
