“Send a message to the Holy Father” Initiative triggers supportive video messages for Pope Leo XIV

The Tech company Ecatholic is collecting video opportunities, encouragement and support of Catholics around the world this month to create a assembly of “blessing” for Pope Leo XIV.

Jason Jaynes, CEO of Ecatholic, said the initiative was born during a meeting in the early this month when a team member asked: “It wouldn't be a really great and cool initiative [if] Catholics all over the world could we let their blessings share their blessings with the new Pope? “

The efforts that started shortly after the election of Pope Leo XIV has already received submissions from “every continent around the world”, Jaynes told “Ewtn News Nightly” Anker Catherine Hadro.

The planning for the initiative started on the first day of the conclave when Ecatholian employees had “no idea that there would be white smoke only 24 hours later and we already had a new pope,” said Jaynes.

“We wanted to do something sensible – and a little creative – to mark the moment and celebrate with the Universal Church,” Ecatholic Marketing Director Michael Josephs told EWTNS Churchpop.

Some of the entries that Ecatholic has received so far showed children who sing in Latin, people who offer prayers to the first Pope born in the USA, and group messages from communities that Pope Leo XIV congratulate on his choice.

The videos come from people around the world who spoke several languages, which Jaynes said: “reinforce the universal nature of our church.”

Those who want to participate can visit the Ecatholian website to take a moment to offer a message of prayer, encouragement or support and to submit a video.

“We will keep the submissions open until the end of this month,” said Jaynes. “Then we will contact the assembly, probably first through social media, since Pope Leo is present there and also try to work with the Vatican media and others to put these messages in front of them.”
