Hesperia, California (vvng.com) – A hit-and-run crash in Hesperia, in which two people were injured on Tuesday evening, is online on the distribution because the community works together to identify the people who have fled the scene.

The crash occurred on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, around 7.15 p.m. at the intersection of the Sequoia Street and the Apatite Avenue. According to the Sheriff department of the San Bernardino County, the incident was a collision with two vehicles with an Audi, whose driver ran from the scene. The other driver was injured and taken to a hospital.

“The MPs reacted to a traffic collision with two vehicles. One of the vehicles involved was an Audi and the driver fled out of the scene. The second driver was injured and brought to a local hospital,” said Mara Rodriguez, spokeswoman for the Saniff department of San Bernardino County.

A relative of one of the victims, Alex Lopez, announced more details on Facebook and claimed that the Audi driver organized a stop sign and equipped the gray Toyota Camry of his cousin. Lopez said both the driver and a second person fled on foot shortly after the crash.

According to Lopez, his cousin described the crash in a message in which he explained:

“They accelerated through a stop sign and my car was tboned and injured me and my cousin Cesar. My current conditions have deteriorated because I have now broken a collapsed lung and was currently hospitalized.”

The incident was first brought to light in the Facebook group Victor Valley 411, where a relative of the victim shared details.

A short video clip, which was recorded by a passerby, witnessed the consequences of VVNG. The film material shows two people who flee through an alley between the houses along the apatit Avenue.

The same video was later passed on by several community members to Tiktok and other social media platforms to identify the responsible persons.

Lopez described the man who ran in the early to mid -1930s. The second person, possibly a passenger, was not identified, and it is unclear whether they are also sought by the authorities.

A report was submitted at the Hesperia Sheriff's station and the examination continues. No arrests were made at this point.
