“Not their first rodeo” emphasizes female bull drivers who work to make a name for themselves in a sport dominated by men.

Drive the bull, win the buckle. Stay with eight seconds and you have a shot.

That's what Jorden Halvsen and the women of the Elite Lady Bull Riders are about. The stories of these women, who live eight seconds after the other, are highlighted in the Dokios of ABC News Studios “not their first rodeo”.

“I knew that I wanted to drive a lot early,” said Halvorsen on the red carpet. “I wanted to be the best version of a bull rider that I could be.”

Catalina Langlitz, Renata Nunes, Athena Rivera and Alexia Huffman can also be seen in the series.

Halvorsen says she created the Elite Lady Bull Riders to develop a place in the so -called world of a man.

“We drive differently,” she said. “It's just a really good feeling to create something in which women come and feel comfortable.”

“You have to be a little crazy” if you are asked what it takes to be a successful bull rider. “But most of it requires a lot of commitment and hard work.”

Halvorsen says Bull Riding is a dream and she hopes that “not her first rodeo” will encourage others to choose what they want.

“I hope that the audience can take it away, you know that you can follow your dreams, no matter what it is,” she said. “Just go to what you are passionate about in life.”

The first two episodes of “Not Hather Rodeo” premiere this evening at 10 p.m. EST/ 9 p.m. CST on Freeform. The entire documentation will then stream on Disney+ June 6th on Hulu and Hulu.

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of Freeform, Hulu and this ABC station.
