The former MLB player sues Reds

Cincinnati-a former baseball player of the Major League sued the Cincinnati Reds almost two years after he said that he had suffered an injury at the end of the career at the Great American Ball Park.

In June 2023, call left a game between the Brewers and Reds with an apparent leg injury after trying to get a foul ball. MLB's video shows that call runs along the first base line to the network before it comes to the edge of the rolled tarpaulin. Blood can be seen on his right pants when he goes off the field.

Ruf was placed on the 60-day injured list of one knee. A CBS sports update from this season says that he also broke the kneecap. The lawsuit states that the injury ultimately ended Ruf's career.

“It didn't have to happen. I wish it hadn't happened,” said Ruf in a publication. “Players shouldn't have to worry about hidden dangers in a field of the Major League.”

The lawsuit submitted in Hamilton County claims that there was no protective padding or cap on the plane roller made of metal. It accuses the reasons for the “ruthless” behavior and says the red adherence for their negligence.

“This was an obvious and avoidable risk,” said Tad Thomas, Ruf's lawyer, in the press release. “There are fundamental security protocols that every MLB team should follow. It is unexcused.

The 38 -year reputation spent five seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies before playing with the Giants and Mets. In 2023 he played in just 11 games with the Brewers before his injury.

The lawsuit demands that call for his injuries and damage are fully compensated.
