Before the tournament, Tennessee lost to Arkansas to close the regular season. The Vols won game 1: 7 behind an incredible offensive day, but pitching fights plagued UT in an 8: 6 loss with two years and 8: 4 defeats three.

The couple of losses set the NCAA -Regional -Hosting chances with regard to NCAA in doubt, while the Vols had won the series in Fayetteeville that they would probably play in Knoxville next weekend.

Now Tennessee has to take a deep run in the Sec tournament to achieve a chance of hosting, since UT lost its last five series and six of his last seven.

A victory against Texas would certainly improve the hosting chances of Tennessee, but the Vols will probably have to achieve the championship game on Sunday to feel really good if you organize a regionally.
