Heavy thunderstorm in green until 10 p.m., May 22nd.(KCBD)

In the waking area, storms that develop can produce large hail and the harmful wind. Warnings are issued when storm occurs. Warnings are issued for hail with at least 1 inch diameter and 60 miles per hour.

These will be the properties of most storms. The Storm Prediction Center contains some isolated very large hail reports with a diameter of up to 3 inches, and gusts of up to 70 km / h are possible. An isolated tornado is possible, especially above SE Texas Panhandle into the northern rolling levels near a front. The clock extends east towards Wichita Falls and Abilene.

Next day

We have an easy chance for thunderstorms in the late day tomorrow and this weekend. Like today, not everyone will see a storm with the better chance to the east in front of the Caprock. But where storms develop, some could be strong to heavy.

The storm chance will trend higher next week. It will be hot this weekend, Saturday, the hottest about 100. Then there are less hot days in the shop, together with the Daily Storm Chance.
