Kellen Moore: Jake Haener injury no “dramatic missed opportunity”

Jake Haener's offer to win the Start Quarterback -job in New Orleans this week when he suffered a weird strain that keeps him away for the rest of the offseason program in New Orleans.

The head coach of Saints, Kellen Moore, said that the missed time for Haener's chances, Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shough for the top job, will not be a fatal blow.

“Of course, nobody wants to miss the time,” said Moore at a press conference. “Nobody wants to miss the time, but for Jake and his situation there is still a teaching component, a mental component that he has benefited. He is right there with the QBS, he will be there through the entire process of the low season. I don't think it is a drastic opportunity.

The saints also have unable rookie -hunter deck on the squad and Moore said that another veteran is “something that we will continue to evaluate.” Rattler and Shough are currently sharing the representatives of the first team at Saints Practices.
