A man was arrested for the suspicion of having held unpublished Hollywood films online. The 47-year-old is suspected of receiving thousands of films, television series and songs without the required license or authorizations of copyright owners and to share them at a torrent location.

The man was arrested on Tuesday, April 29, in his house in Penmaenmawr, North Wales, after two were found on the site in the last Hollywood films that were published to the public before the official approval.

Police officers in the city of intellectual property (PIPCU) from the city of London completed the torrent location and confiscated two laptops and several hard drives for further exams. Do not miss a court report by registering To our crime newsletter here

A large amount of discs was also confiscated by the police during the examination.

Detective Constable Jason Theobald von Pipcu said: “This operation is a warning for everyone who thinks of uploading copyrighted material on pirate positions.

“This is a crime that distracts money from the creative industry, money that not only supports artists, but also thousands of technical and supportive employees in this sector.

“It is estimated that this type of criminal activities alone contributes to around 86,000 loss of work per year. Pipcu is obliged to work with partners, national and internationally to take the measures taken.”

Pipcu worked with the Motion Picture Association (MPA) to examine the case that led to arrest.

Karyn Temple, Senior Executive Vice President and Global General Counsel of the Motion Picture Association, said: “This operation is a powerful evidence of the effects of close cooperation between the law enforcement authorities, the creative sector and the industrial partners.

“We recommend Pipcu for your leadership and your commitment – your unique role in combating the crime of intellectual property is essential in today's digital age.

“Together we provide sensible results in the fight against piracy.

“While the technology is developing, the threats to creative content is also becoming. This decisive enforcement campaign increases the message that piracy is not a victim of a victim – it harms Creator, disturbs legitimate company and endangers consumers.

“We are proud to stand by Pipcu and our partners to protect the creative industry and ensure that the audience all over the world can enjoy stories in a safe, legal and safe way.”

The man has been examined since his arrest.
