The man falls into death and tries to escape the burning Brooklyn building – NBC New York

A man fell into death after something had gone wrong with a rescue manager, as firefighters tried to pull him out of a burning building in Brooklyn and trigger an examination.

Neighbors said that the 53-year-old Ashiq Hussain fell into death on Monday morning, while a FDNY fire fan worked to save him from the flames of the Sunset Park building.

The cell phone video showed chaos at 7 a.m., since three people from two windows were able to tore out on the upper level of the three-story building. Flames could be seen as they were shot down from the other side.

Hussain was among the three roommates that were waiting to be saved. Just when it seemed as if it were saved, the ladder stretched out to withdraw. Hussain fell on the sidewalk in front of a deli in Ninth Avenue and the 39th Street.

“Very scary experience, nobody expects it or the like,” said Deli worker Roshad Mohammed. “He was a very respectful person, very friendly gentleman.”

The neighbors wondered what the ladder had withdrawn when Hussain stepped on it.

“I can't imagine what it felt like for the people who were in the building at the time,” said neighbor IsaĆas Penti. “Everyone is man, mistakes have to happen … but the firefighters did their best. It wasn't their fault.”

In a statement to NBC New York, the FDNY said that they were “an incident that took place at an all-hand fire in Brookly at the beginning of this week. Like the standard practice, we began a proactive examination of the facts and circumstances in connection with the tragic death of a civilian, including our fire brigade, the fire brigade and our division of the security division.”

FDNY sources said that the leaders who were withdrawn had been removed. From Thursday, no crew member was disciplined in relation to this case.

Hussain supported the family in Pakistan, as Mohammed said he had three daughters and a son. Now people in the neighborhood are moving in to help them in this difficult time.

The other two roommates who were saved out of the fire should be fine.
