Man who is charged with murder six months after the start of suspicious death investigation

Neenah (NBC 26) – Almost six months after a man was declared dead, another man was charged with murder.

The Neenah police say that 53-year-old Rodney Franklin von Oshkosh was today charged because of the first degree death murder in connection with the death of 73-year-old Keith Riesskamp.

The authorities found Rieskamp on November 24, 2024 during a welfare check Riesskamp on the 200 block of the Doty Avenue in Neenah near Shattuck Park. They took him to a hospital where he died.

The Neenah police say that the suspect Franklin has been in custody since November 24th because of theft.

Today's murder accusation of the district of the district in Winnebago is “the result of evidence that was examined by the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory,” said NEENAH police release.

Rieskamp's case was originally considered a suspicious death and then converted to a murder examination on December 5.

It is recorded with a bond of 500,000 US dollars.
