On Wednesday evening, the Honolulu police confirmed the arrest of three young people in connection with the attack, including a 13-year-old boy and two girls aged 14 and 16. An 18-year-old woman was also arrested.

The mother of two of the arrested suspects was visibly disturbed when he was waiting outside the Wahiawa police station on Wednesday evening. She expressed remorse for the incident.

“I just wanted to apologize to the girl's family that was injured in this video. And I didn't mean that it would go. But I apologize for my children's actions and I hope that you can forgive my children,” said the woman.

Other Leilehua students who were angry about violence said they hope that those who were arrested will regret their decision and that the answer put an end to bullying.

“It is not right. We are not bullies ourselves. You shouldn't harass anyone, especially someone who cannot stand up for yourself,” said Emond Emond.

The Honolulu police said that the arrested charges were pending.
