8 people who were taken to the hospital after Beaver County Limousine Crash

After an accident with a limousine and pickup truck in the municipality of Darlington, Beaver County, eight people were brought to hospitals.

The front and side of the sedan had significant damage and after the crash on the constitution Boulevard near East Palestine Road, a bike came out of the pick-up.

“I heard a loud boom,” said Monica Gross, who works on nearby Harry's Place who owns her family. She jumped in to help.

“I asked if they needed something and I came up to get a few wet rags and things to wipe the blood from their faces and everything,” said Gross.

Eleven people were involved in the accident. Gross saw at least 7 in the sedan, including the driver. The state police said eight people were brought to hospitals. While injuries are serious, it is expected that everyone will survive, the state police said KDKA TV.

Gross said the group told her that they were on the way from Ohio to the Pirates game in Pittsburgh.

“I was afraid because when the girl lay when she got out of the car, she complained about her head and back,” said Gross. “I thought it would get worse.”

She said it looked like the pickup was leaving the East Palestine Road when he hit the limousine on Route 51.

“He was shaken,” said Gross. “He admitted that he had withdrawn and brought him to it, and he shouldn't do it. He should have wait before getting out of it.”

A tire came from the collection and landed on the side of the road. Passengers in the limousine did not wore seat belts, said Gross.

“You would see the pirate game tonight and I told you that you were crazy because it was stimulating,” she said.

She believes that the heavy rain could have played a role in the crash.

“I will definitely start paying more attention and pulling out,” said Gross. “I feel bad for the child because he came home from work, he didn't drink. It was not alcohol, you know. So I just feel bad for the child.”

According to police documents, the Pickup driver driver was charged with a violation of the stop sign.
