Pirates finally score five … but fall on brewers

Pittsburgh – The good news: the Pittsburgh pirates avoided writing history. After completing the MLB record with four or less in 26 intraimized games, they finally achieved five runs to avoid the record.

The bad news: You lost 8-5 to the Brewers in PNC Park on Thursday evening.

How we got there

Christian Yelich met a three-run Homerun against Mike Burrows (0-1), who started his first start to the season.

Key moment

The pirates had already scored in the top of the sixth goal and had runners at the corners for Bryan Reynolds, who had safely reached the base in each of his first three record fungi. After a 1-hour and 50-minute delay, Reynolds, who was the potential go-aahead run, excluded Carlos Rodriguez.
