Co-founder of the sound talent group Dave Shapiro at San Diego killed aircraft crash

Dave Shapiro, co -founder of the Sound Talent Group, died. He was the people killed when a private aircraft from Cessna 550 fell into the Tierrasanta district of San Diego in the early morning of May 22nd. Shapiro and all passengers of the aircraft died in the crash, among them as Daniel Williams, who saw the drummer of the metalcore band, the Devil, Prada. About 10 houses suffered from the crash, said Dan Eddy, deputy fire chief of San Diego, at a press conference, according to the Associated Press. Officials examine the cause of the crash, The New York Times Reports. Shapiro was 42.

“We are destroyed by the loss of our co -founder, colleagues and friends,” said a representative of the Sound Talent Group in a statement to the BBC. “Our hearts go to their families and everyone who is affected by today's tragedy. Thank you for respecting your privacy at that time.”

Dave Shapiro used to work as an agent at United Talent Agency. He was a co-founder of the sound talent group with Tim Borror and Matt Andersen in 2019. The agency's roster includes hard rock acts such as Pierce the Veil, Sum 41, Lamb of God, Ice Nine Kills and others as well as pop artists such as Vanessa Carlton and Hanson. In 2020, Shapiro founded the national independent talent organization with the aim of protecting independent artists, booking agents and talent representatives.

Apart from his work as an agent, Shapiro founded the label speed records. He also founded the Velocity Aviation. According to the company's website, Shapiro began to fly in 2005.
