Panther's star leaves the game after being hit

The only disadvantage of Florida Panthers' 5-0 victory in game 2 against Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday was that the key striker Sam Reinhart went on with an injury.

In the second period, the Panthers announced that Reinhart, who was able to fly from a Sebastian Aho goal in the first period, had an injury with a lower body and would not return to the game. He had distorted the bench before he went into the changing room.

Panther's coach Paul Maurice had no update after the game and said Reinhart was being examined on Friday. He expected to have an answer until Saturday.

Reinhart plays with Aleksander Barkov in the top and had 57 goals last season. He is a finalist (together with Barkov) for the Selke Trophy as a top defensive striker after he is finished with five goals with a short hand.

The Panthers had a 3-0 lead after a period, but still had two periods to play. Other players, including the fourth liner AJ Greer, turned to the upper line during the rest of the game.

“This guy, you can't really replace. He does everything,” said Barkov about Reinhart. “Every single type who played there was great.”
