There is a rule in the NBA that says that the visiting team decides on which end of the court it will shoot in the first half, which in turn means that the visiting team also determines the end of the court that it is shot in the second half because the direction changes.

Trainers usually want their teams to defend in front of their own bank in the second half, as this closeness helps coach and co -trainer to convey instructions to their defenders in real time.

But Chris Finch von Minnesota selected the opposite this evening: in the second half he will be on the same side of the soil, where the bank of the wolves is located.

Why did Finch make this relatively rare decision? One possibility is that the Thunder arena is so loud that Finch fears that the incumbent crew would not be part of the late game break if Finch is at the other end of the floor.

If you play your own offense in front of your own bank in the second half, it makes it easier for the reigning crew – and just as important to see that Finch can be heard for a break if or whether it is necessary.
