Crash attack-San Marco crossing receives $ 1.8 million $ 1.8 million

A crash-based traffic transitions in San Marco has received a security speech of $ 1.8 million.

The Florida Ministry of Transport has completed the improvement project on Hendricks Avenue and at the San Marco Boulevard, which included several pedestrian cergs, improved traffic signals, wider lanes and new security measures to prevent the accidents that previously plagued the area.

“Before that, walking was held over the street,” said Emily Smith, who works in San Marco. “Now you have a pretty strict way where you go and cross a safe way.”

The security upgrades also included new traffic monitoring cameras, concrete divisors to prevent illegal turning and improved lane markings in order to better lead the fusion of traffic from the San Marco Boulevard to the Hendricks Avenue to the south.

The changes took years to a flood of residential complaints.

The FDOT spokesman Jacob Pickering said that the records of earlier crashes at the busy intersection had contributed to securing the financing for the almost 2 million US dollar upgrades.

“The number of accidents helps the city and the FDOT to fight this financing to get this security project in motion,” said Pickering.
