Columbia-South Carolina Softball continues his NCAA tournament in the Super Regionals with a best-of-thly series with the UCLA in the Carolina Softball Stadium.

The coach of the first year, Ashley Chastain Woodard, and the GameCocks (43-15) are the No. 8 National Seed and are on the line of No. 9-Samen Bruins (52-10) for a trip to Women's College World Series.

Both teams went 3-0 in their respective regions as hosts, and both ran their opponents in five innings in the decisive game. South Carolina defeated Nordflorida 8-0 and Ucla beat UC Santa Barbara 12: 1.

Game 1 is on May 23 at 1 p.m. (ESPN2). Game 2 will take place on May 24th (ESPN) at 1 p.m. If a third game is required, time and television details will be announced for May 25th.

How many WCWs had South Carolina softball been?

South Carolina is trying to go to the Women's College World Series for the first time since 1997. Her other two appearances were in 1983 and 1989.

The UCLA has 32 WCWS appearances and 12 national championships, most of all all softball teams of Division I. The Bruins recently won the WCWs in 2019.
