The Roanoke police start “Operation Summer Shield” to prevent violent crimes

Roanoke, va. – The Roanoke police authority announced on Friday that they start operating Summer Shield, which they describe as “a strategic summer initiative that aims to reduce violent crimes through sustainable and coordinated efforts to dominate the fear of crimes, to ensure targeted traffic enforcement and proactive criminal connection purposes”.
