The owner killed his chihuahua by stuffing him in the oven and turning it on because the dog barked too much.

A pet owner was booked and charged with severe cruelty to animals after he allegedly “put a dog in an oven” after having got into an argument with a family member over the barking of the puppy.

The suspect was identified as James Williamson (44) from Atmore, Alabama.

The authorities reacted to the incident at Dogwood Place – about 50 miles from the city of Mobile – after receiving a call for an injured animal.

The man supposedly threatened the family member by declaring that he would throw the dog into the oven if he didn't stop barking, according to the Atmore police and the Sheriff office of the Escambia district.

When the police arrived at the scene, they made a terrible discovery.

A late Chihuahua puppy was found in the entrance with severe combustion injuries, reports the local station WSAZ.

The investigators believe that Williamson had placed a chair in front of the oven so that the dog could not open the door.

According to reports, the neighbors reported a “Yelping” sound from the 44 -year -old's house in Beautians.

When Sergeant Darrell Mcmann from the Atmore Police arrived at the scene, he was broken by what he found.

“I have a chihuahua myself,” said Mcmann.

“When I got there, I was only for words, you know.

He believes that the law should be more difficult for those who commit such actions.

“I think in such cases they should be strengthened. Because I don't think it is that it corresponds to a crime of class C.

“It describes pretty much what he did: terrible and inhumane,” he said.

Williamson was charged with a crime of class C crime and landed with a bond of $ 15,000.

If he is found guilty, he will be excluded from animal ownership in the future, reports Fox10.
