Pacers vs. Knicks Game 2 prediction, pick

Bryan Armetta delivers his analysis and prediction for game 2 between the Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks.

In an eventful final game of the Eastern Conference 1, the Pacers had a historical comeback made over the Knicks. Now these two competitors will take the court again on Friday evening. Can New York build things at all, or will Indiana take over a commanding 2-0 series tour?

The Knicks will appear this evening as Six-point favoriteswith the Set over/below 224.5 points To Draftking's sports book. Let us break down both teams that go to the Pivotal Contest on Friday.

One thing is clear after 48 minutes in this series: the Pacers are legitimate. After they had fallen back with 14 points with less than 3 minutes, a flood from Indiana three-cluster led to a possible overtime victory. To do this on the street against a frenzied Madison Square Garden? It is not easy to take.

Nevertheless, there are still reasons for optimism for the Knicks. The degree of physicality in this matchup is a clear downgrade compared to previous series compared to the pistons and Celtics. Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns combined for 78 points at 26-from 42 shooting from the field (61.9%). Unfortunately, the defense of New York collapsed late late and allowed 38 points in the fourth quarter. This is abnormal for a squad led by Tom Thibodeau, especially for one who shows spiritual hardness in the late season.

As good as Brunson and the cities looked, it is the rest of the Knicks start -up site that raises questions. OG Anunoby was sloppy in the course of game 1 and was covered by a faulty pass in the extension. Mikal Bridges came out of the gates with crack, but scored a total of eight points after the first quarter. Any hit that Josh Hart offers is a bonus, not expectations.

Indiana's offense became dangerous and was saved by a miraculous flood by Aaron Nesmith Dreiebern. The striker connected with eight of nine beyond the arch and scored 18 points in the last five minutes of regulation. Another hyperefficient 30-point performance is unlikely. In order to counteract a regression, Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner may be involved more tonight. However, the couple had difficulties against the double-big combination of cities and Mitchell Robinson. When these fights are continued, the Pacers in game 2 are heavily dependent on their scope of the area.

As most fans know, these two have a lot of post -season. Last year the Pacers needed seven games to achieve a final of the Eastern Conference. While the Knicks are far healthier this season, the performance on Wednesday shows that Indiana is a much better team. In four of these seven competitions, the two teams did not achieve 220 points.

Against this background, this year's Knicks are not as defensive as the squad of the past year. New York plays an adaptable basketball mark that pushes the pace forward or drained the clock. This is the opposite of the Pacers, who were a much more stinging group in 2025. At least 239 total points were assessed in four of the last five meetings between these two teams. Expect another shootout at MSG on Friday.

Best bet: Pacers-Knicks over 224.5 (-110)
