The boys were thrown out of the jeep, thrown into different directions during the Rollover crash and landed several feet from the street, the police said.

Although the SUV was badly damaged in the crash, it landed and continued to the east in E. Ganson Street, the police said.

After the vehicle had traveled to the east for about half a mile, it crashed a second time in the parking lot of the Jackson District Library near the intersection of E. Michigan Avenue and the Dettman Road and ended the persecution.

Powers and another teenager were injured in the jeep and brought to Henry Ford Jackson Hospital for treatment.
