NH pays Harmony Montgomery's mother over 2 million US

The state of New Hampshire has agreed to pay the mother of Harmony Montgomery, Crystal Storey, 2,250,000 US dollars in a settlement, after submitting a legal dispute against the department for children, youth and families (DCYF) last year, NBC 10 Boston reported on Friday.

Originally submitted in September, Sorey claimed that DCYF ignored warning signs, who led to the death of her daughter by her father Adam Montgomery at the end of 2019. The warnings included reports from family and neighbors about the well -being of their daughter and failed to protect Harmony Montgomery.

In the lawsuit it was found that Adam Montgomery's uncle Kevin Montgomery DCYF contacted a “lively” black eye that she had after Adam Montgomery told him that he had “bounced” her from every wall in the house.

Kevin Montgomery also reported that he once scrubbed the girl a bathtub with a toothbrush as a punishment and harmony Montgomery in a corner between five and eight hours. He was also concerned that the electricity was switched off from his nephew's house and found what he thought was drug utensils.

When Kevin Montgomery asked the agency for an earlier report and it was confidential, he was frustrated when an agency worker asked him about the correctness of the data provided by him.

“That's why children die,” said Kevin Montgomery frustrated according to the lawsuit.

He said about Adam Montgomery's admission to hit Harmony Montgomery that he struck her around the damn house.

Adam Montgomery was sentenced to 56 years in prison in May 2024 after he was guilty in December 2019 for Harmony Montgomery. Adam Montgomery received custody for Harmony Montgomery at the beginning of this year.
