Braves activate Ronald Acuña Jr. From the injured list almost 1 year after the ACL injury to the left knee

Atlanta – Ronald Acuña Jr. was activated by the injured list of the Atlanta Braves on Friday, almost a year after torn the ACL in his left knee.

The Braves announced the move before the game on Friday evening against the San Diego Padres. The Orlando Arcia Infielder, a 2023 All-Star, was called the order to remove a squad square for Acuña, which was expected to reach Leadoff and start in the right field.

Braves manager Brian Snitker announced after the 8: 7 defeat on Thursday evening in Washington that Acuña will give his season debut on Friday evening.

Acuña, the 2023 NL MVP, injured his left knee on May 26 and was operated on on June 6th. He played six games in the minor on a rehab order, with two home runs 6 for 15. He was scratched for Triple -A Gwinnett before the game on Thursday evening when the team made plans for him to join the Atlanta list.

Acuña played in just 49 games last season and beat .250 with four Homern, 15 RBis, 16 stolen bases and an ops .716 ops.

He was a unanimous winner of the NL MVP Award in 2023 when he met with 41 Homeruns, 106 RBIs and a 1.012 surgery in the league .336. Acuña steel this year also 73 bases to become the only player with 40 homers and 70 steals in one season.

The 30-year-old Arcia was an all-star from 2023 NL when he scored with 17 Homern and 65 RBIs .264. Arcia lost his starting job because he was unable to compensate for on the plate and at the same time have a defensive decline. He only met this season .194 in 31 bats.

Nick Allen has taken over as a start shortstop.
