Kia NBA MOST Valuable Player Award winner: Denver Nuggets

Nikola Jokić is a three -time winner of the Kia NBA MVP.

The Denver Nuggets had three MVP awards in the history of the franchise, but it is worth noting that the winner was the same player every time. We are talking about Nikola Jokić, probably one of the best players in the NBA in the past five years, and the second place in the race for the NBA MVP Award 2024-25.

Let's take a look at each of these individual seasons.


Nikola Jokić: 2020-21

In this campaign, Jokić conquered the first of three MVP prices that Serbian Big Man won the league in this campaign and was rewarded by appointing the best player in the association after an impressive series of performances. He achieved an average of 26.4 points, 10.8 rebounds and 8.3 assists, while he took 56.6% out of the ground, 38.8% from 3-point range and 86.8% from the charity strip. He has been one of the top 10 of the MVP vote in the past two years.

Nikola Jokić: 2021-22

Jokić went one step further in the 2021-22 season and won the MVP Prize for the second season in a row, but this time he exceeds his numbers even further. In each of his 74 regular seasonal competitions, Jokić scored an average of 27.1 points, 13.8 rebounds, 7.9 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.9 blocks per game in 33.5 minutes per competition. His shootout also improved when he turned 58.3% of his shots off the field, but he had to make the Nuggets a title again.

Nikola Jokić: 2023-24

Jokić won the NBA title 2022-23 with the Nuggets and in 2023-24 delivered another dominant season on the way to his third campaign at MVP level. Jokić performed in all of the 82 regular seasonal competitions of the Nuggets and achieved an average of 26.4 points, 12.4 rebounds and 9.0 assists. He also achieved an average of 1.4 steals and 0.9 blocks and shot 58.3% off the ground. The Star Big Man was unable to repeat the title winner season from 2022-23 and lost to Timberwolves in seven games in the Western Conference semi-finals.
