Alex Cora by Red Sox expands the injury to Alex Bregman

The injury error always bites the Boston Red Sox.

This time, however, the hope is that the violation of the lower assault, which Alex Bregman forced to leave Boston's game against the Baltimore Orioles early, is only the third Baseman for a short time.

“Just tight,” Red Sox Manager Alex Cora told Nesns Tom Caron Postgame. “Obviously you get some treatment in view of the night (and between the Double Seader), and we will know more tomorrow.

“Hopefully something minor that he misses for a few days. And if he goes to the IL, hopefully it will be 10 days.

Bregman explained what he felt in his quad when he rounded up the first basis at the end of the fifth after he had divided a single left field.

“I felt my quad grave. I didn't go any further on the second basis for the double,” said Bregman on Nesn's postgame reporting. “I just got standing and came back into my pocket so that I wouldn't make it worse. I knew I had to get out and had to see the coach.”

Cora added that Bregman does not have to perform imaging, which would indicate a less serious injury.

“When you talk to the training staff and the doctors here, there is no need,” said Cora. “I think we'll see how he will react to the treatment in the next few hours, see how he feels morning morning, and if we have to do it, we'll do it.”

If Bregman misses any time, Cora already has an emergency plan to cover the third basis.
