After Red Sox Wallop Orioles, Alex Bregman's injury affects the 19-5 victory

Boston-a 14-run blowout in the first game of a planned double header on Friday should have been reason for the Boston Red Sox. Instead, the victory was covered with concern.

In the fifth inning of a 19:5 victory against the Baltimore Orioles, the third Baseman Alex Bregman hit a goal on the left field. When he got together for the first time, he started and immediately asked a trainer to leave the game.

The Red Sox announced that Bregman had ended with the right quad. Bregman was uncertain after the game if he needed a stay on the injury list or if he is ready to play after a day or two.

“I don't know,” he said. “Obviously it is only every day. I have the feeling that we will know and see a lot more tomorrow after going to bed.

Bregman said that in 2021 he had a injury to left -wing quads, which felt stronger than what he felt on Friday but didn't want to go. He noticed that he felt more positive over the narrow quad than at the beginning.

In addition to Rafael Devers, Bregman was the most constant piece of the Red Sox series and scored with an OPS of 0.938 in 51 games .299.

If the Red Sox are only a few days without Bregman and he avoids an IL stint, said manager Alex Cora, Nick Sogard and Abraham Toro could play the third basis. He also mentioned Ceddanne Rafaela as an option in third parties in an emergency. The Red Sox are not planning to bring Rafael -Devers back to the third base because he did not play a game there all season. If Bregman goes to the IL, the door could open the door for advertising for the Top -Infield -interested Marcelo Mayer, who played four games on the third base this season.

“We'll know more tomorrow,” said Cora about Bregman's injury status.

When Bregman left the game, the Red Sox still stayed 2-1 and seemed to go on another lackluster loss.

But in the sixth five runs they broke out in eighth place, most of the runs that they had achieved in a single inning since the first inning on June 27, 2003.

“It was great,” said Bregman about the offensive outbreak. “It made it a little bit happier to sit on the training table and just watch her as you swing the bats so much.”

The Red Sox cut in an early 2-0 deficit in the fourth when Trevor Story scored a leadoff walk and scored on a Sogard Groundout.

In the sixth, Sogard doubled, Kristian Campbell went and Rafaela hit a single in the middle to bind the game 2-2. Jarren Duran followed with an RBI single that gave the Red Sox a 3-2 lead before the devers quickly scored with a Homer with three runs with 6: 2.

Two innings later added the Red Sox, which was initially emphasized by Rob Refssnyder's three-run home, who had knocked out Orioles Reliever Cionel Perez from the game. The Orioles turned into the blowout in the Infielder Emmanuel Rivera and tore up a Grand Slam in the Bullpen.

Devers' eight runs that drove in a career high, and most of it for a Red Sox player since Mookie Betts in 2017. He now leads the majors with 47 RBIs and is bound to ninth place with 12 Homern.

“They keep looking, and now he is what is the ninth place in the ninth place, and then the RBIs sneak up,” said Cora. “He has an excellent season and always works on it.”

On the hill, Red Sox Starter Brayan Bello only lasted four innings and allowed two runs with six goals and a walk that struck seven. Again the Bullpen had to pick up a large part of the innings. When Boston added a four-run pillow in the sixth, the task for the relief corps made it considerably simple after the eighth inning of 13 runs. Cora turned to Toro on the hill on the top of the ninth to end it.

Game 2 of the Doubleader on Friday was moved and moved to Saturday, with the games being set for 1:05 p.m. and 6:35 p.m.

Now the Red Sox await the message about Bregman's status.
