Trumps National Security Council has taken into account the restructuring, say sources

The White House dispersed and restructured the National Security Council, Sources CBS News announced on Friday – weeks after President Trump replaced his national security advisor and gave secretary Marco Rubio the mighty position.

Some NSC employees move elsewhere in the administration, but not all, according to the sources. The helpers were informed about some of the changes in a meeting in the White House on Friday afternoon.

Vice President JD Vances' national security advisor, Andy Baker, plays a top in the restructured NSC as deputy national security advisor, as well as the deputy chief of staff Robert Gabriel of the White House. Both will be MPs at NSC, said three sources. According to an official of the White House, Baker will continue to serve as an assistant to Vance.

So far, around 20 people have been informed that they are on administrative leave, said sources. Some of the new allocations will only take place next week, said a source.

Among those who left the NSC: Eric Trager who had edited the Middle East; Alex Wong, deputy national security advisor who shifted elsewhere in the administration; And Andrew Peek, who handled European affairs.

The NSC communication team also dissolves as part of the restructuring. Inquiries for comments were transferred to the press team of the White House.

Axios reported some of the changes on Friday.

“It is terrible. Fewer people mean less control over bureaucracy. The key is to get people who are no fewer people,” said a former member of the National Security Council.

Another former member of the NSC, which advises the president in foreign policy and national security affairs, said the institution was burdened and pointed out the deep suspicion of the NSC in both Trump administrations and the bidges.

“In the past 40 years, the NSC has made the security state best after September 11th and has carried out the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. This is now inappropriate, deeply unpopular,” said the former member. “Couple who effectively manage the end of the Cold War with a failure of the Clinton era and recognize the rise of state-free terrorism really does not look good.”

The sudden changes came three weeks after Rubio had taken on the role of national security advice, and replaced Mike Waltz, the was pushed out of the post and nominated as an ambassador in the United Nations. This step was driven by the perception that Waltz did not check the staff enough, a lack of adaptation between Waltz and the rest of the team, and Waltz 'participation in the establishment of a signal group chat that accidentally contained a reporter. CBS News registered at the time.

It is the latest upheaval at Mr. Trump's NSC. Last month, at least half a dozen employees were released shortly after the right media personality Laura Loomer accused CBS News previously reported that Mr. Trump was not sufficiently loyal to Mr..

Rubio is not set a date to avert the national security position of the dual hat hat. He announced CBS News on Sunday that he had no departure date or no time frame for a departure.
